Our next stop was Tallinn, Estonia. It's a beautiful little walled city with cobblestoned medieval streets. I'll let the photos speak for themselves!
| The obligatory photo stop before getting off the ship! |
| I find them so impressive! |
| Grabbing a quick pic at the wall entrance before we head into the old town. |
| Beautiful doors along the way! |
| Seriously?! She is taking another picture? |
| Interesting name.... |
| A stop in one of the old churches. |
The Town Square
Alexander Nevsky Cathedral
The Estonian Parliament Building
The Cathedral of St. Mary the Virgin (Dome Church's) Tower
| Dating back to 1240, the church is not really very exceptional, but the view from the tower was gorgeous! |
| The climb to the top was a little tight. |
| People had to come down this same staircase. |
| That view!!! |
| Pews where you can lock the kids in...I like it! |
| When in Estonia...just kidding! |
Walking along the wall!
How about a nice photo for your parents?!
| I think not.... |
| Much better! |
We stopped in this restaurant that prided itself on serving everything with garlic! Why not???
| Garlic beer!! Chris was not a fan. First beer, in his lifetime, he did not finish. |
| That is garlic on ice cream. My serving was very good, but Wendy's was VERY strong. |
They entertained themselves all day by mimicking these dolls outside of the shops.
| In case you are missing Tex Mex! |
| This was painted on a wall in town. I thought it might make a good cover for my blog someday...if I ever get it printed. |
| The Estonian Flag |
| Lovely sights all over the city! |
Back to the ship!
| Hey! We know that guy! |
Formal Night #2!
Riga, Latvia is up next! Stay tuned!
Until next time,
Wendy
