Mediterranean Cruise ~ Day 4, Athens, Greece!

I do realize this has become the longest cruise EVER.  I just can't seem to lump the days together and do it justice.  So, here goes day four!  On Wednesday, we stopped in Athens, Greece.  We did a walking tour of the Acropolis.
First view of the ruins
There it is!  The Parthenon!  And, it was amazing.  Construction started in 447 BC.  I can't even wrap my brain around that!

I'm glad we did a morning tour because that blazing sun got hotter and hotter as the day went on.

The view from the Acropolis

Good perspective on size.  It is really massive!
Whoa!  Better not push that too hard.
What a view!
Next up was a stop at Olympic Stadium!  This is the site of the first modern Olympic Games in 1896!

I wonder who has stood on those platforms?

Lunch!  Yum!!!

Huh???
The view on our walk leaving Starbucks.

Shoes anyone?
On to the Temple of Zeus.

A view of the Acropolis from the Temple of Zeus.

Oops!  Wasn't me!

And, then back at the ship....
Holding his sister under the water.
Enjoying the sun.
And Starbucks!
I wonder if he REALLY knows how lucky he is???
Dinner time!
We think he ate approximately 30 sour dough rolls throughout the week.

So long Athens!
The kids loved this towel guy.
And, we all loved the ice show.  It was really good!
A great day in Athens!

Next stop is Ephesus, Turkey!

Until next time,
Wendy

Cruising the Mediterranean - Day 3 at Sea

Our kids loved this ship.  So, when they had the opportunity to stay on the ship ALL DAY, they were thrilled!

The morning started with a healthy breakfast of Fruit Loops and an excessive amount of sausage links from the USA.

Then, it was time for some rock climbing.  It was the perfect time to hit the rock climbing wall because there was no line.  Unfortunately, they didn't get to ice skate on the boat because I didn't pack pants.  I missed that part when preparing for the cruise.  Well, Thomas had dress pants, but Allison didn't have anything that would work.  I just couldn't let one do it without the other.  What a bummer!

And, there was roller blading too!

There was plenty of swimming and sunning as well, but apparently I didn't take any pictures of all that fun.  We were just too busy enjoying it!

Tuesday night was the first formal night.  That's a great opportunity to get some pictures.

I really prefer this one. ;)
Awww....I just love them so much!

We stopped in one of the lounges before dinner.  Chris thought it would be nice to have a glass of champagne for dinner.  Two glasses = $50.  Ummm....I'm good with Diet Coke next time.
Daddy's girl
Here comes the smolder.

Thomas: "Dad, let me guess...Rum?!"
Chris: "Dude, it's iced tea!"
Thomas is the alcohol police in this family. :)

A beautiful sunset at the end of a perfect day!

Next up...A stop in Athens, Greece.

Until next time,
Wendy
