Last Stop ~ Paris, France (Day 1)

And finally, our last stop of the European tour was Paris, France.

We stayed in my favorite little hotel in the Les Halles area (just steps from the Chatelet metro stop.)  The price is reasonable for Paris, and as you can see, the rooms are perfectly Parisian.  The four of us could stay in one room together, which was even better.  The second bed was a murphy bed (white cabinet.)  The girls loved it!
Hotel Des Ducs D'anjou
After checking into the hotel, we were off to see the Eiffel Tower on this beautiful sunny and hot day.

Nicole took French in high school.  She has always loved the Eiffel Tower but never ever dreamed she would actually see it in person.  I knew how much she would love it (because we usually love the same things.)  And, I wanted to be sure to capture her first reaction to seeing it.
Priceless!  Tears of Joy!  And, every time she would talk about it, she would cry again.  :)
Photo shoot in front of La Tour Eiffel.

Thankfully, we found someone to take our picture who knew what he was doing (the high end Nikon with the massive lens was a pretty good indicator.)  I love this pic!

After that emotional experience :), it was necessary to eat.  So, crêpes were a must.

Off to the Arc de Triomphe and the Champs Elysees.

Hey, all the cool kids flash the peace sign when they have their picture taken. ;)

The gorgeous view from the top

Up next...Monmartre!

Not finished yet, a stop at the Louvre.
The Louvre is open late on Friday nights, so we saved it for one of the last stops in our day.  We definitely hit the highlights.  It had been a long, busy day.

Hey, that's me. :)

I finally got to have dinner at Chez Janou.  Several of my friends have visited and raved about the chocolate mousse.  It was amazing.  And, dinner was good too.  But, the company was by far the best part.  I was so happy to share this with my girls.

Last stop for the night was again the Eiffel Tower, so we could see it twinkle....at 1am I believe it was.  And, it was totally worth it.

We fell into bed with the excitement of what tomorrow would bring in my most favorite city.  Check back for Day 2.

Until next time,
Wendy
