Tis the Season

We started our weekend with a Christmas party at our neighbor's house on Friday night.  It was lovely and oh so fancy with servers offering delicious appetizers and champagne.  The evening was only slightly interrupted when Thomas stood at the front door covered in mud and had to be escorted home to change.  What part of "stay on the driveway and out of the snowball fight" was unclear?

Basketball season has begun!
Allison is the only one playing this season and Chris is one of her coaches.  It's full court this year, and she is used to playing only half court.  We'll just say she was a little winded at the end of the game. :)
And, today was the Christmas play at church for pre-k through fifth grade with the help of some sixth graders.  Thomas was "Liam" and Allison helped with sound.

I don't think there is anything more precious than children coming together to tell the story of the birth of Jesus.

The cast....well done!!!

The Nutcracker finished off our great holiday weekend, but it was a "girls only" afternoon.  We had lunch at the Wheatley's house.  Many thanks to them for hosting.

Then, it was off to the show.

The girls...
and their moms. :)
I hope you are enjoying all of the wonderful things the Christmas season has to offer.  Only nine more days in Brussels, and then we are off to celebrate with our families.  We are really excited...to say the least!

Until next time,
Wendy
