A Short Stop in Strasbourg

On our way home from Switzerland, we stopped for a bit in Strasbourg, France.  What a darling town! I intend to get there again...maybe for a Christmas market....and hopefully on a day where it is not raining sideways!

We shopped at Adidas (the only shop open on a holiday), had a nice long lunch (to escape the rain), and stopped at the beautiful cathedral.  That was about the extent to our stop in Strasbourg....which is why we need to go back.

When we rounded the corner, there was no doubt we had found the cathedral everyone raved about online.  It was breathtaking...even in the sideways rain.
Stunning!
A beautiful rose window

I'm a sucker for cool organs.  The type that play music. :)

The astronomical clock

The cathedral closes each day for the astronomical clock to do "its thing."  We missed that part, but we did see it ding a few times. :)  The highlight was seeing the clock on Pentecost.

I'm a sucker for doors too....
Nice photo bomb Dude!

Impressive!
We weren't even out of the car, and the kids were asking to ride the carousel.  So, we ended our time in Strasbourg with a whirl on the carousel.

And that concludes our weekend in Switzerland and France. Thank you to the Keown family for joining us on this trip.  Stay tuned for more fun and adVentures!

Until next time,
Wendy
