Christmas Trip to the USA {Part 3}

On Friday morning December 27th, we headed to Chicago to visit the Vastines.  We used to alternate locations for Christmas, but since moving to Belgium, Jerry and Amy have graciously offered to host.  We are so thankful they open their house to us each year for the Vastine craziness!
We arrived at just the right time.  Copies of Amy's first book were delivered not even an hour after we got to their house!!!  She was "officially" a published author as of January 1st.  We are so happy for her!!!
On Saturday, Chris's sister Mary and her family from Minnesota, his brother Tim and family from Ohio, and sister Jeanne and her family from Chicago all joined in on the fun.  Here's Mary and her big baby Tank.
Yes, the one on the right is ours, but the one on the left looks like his Uncle Chris.
Sweet James
The adults thought it would be fun to have a snowball fight.  Only one kid got in trouble and one adult left bleeding.  Overall, a success!

Can you tell they are cousins?!

Dinner at Harry Caray's!  I love the night the adults get to go out to dinner.  So fun!
This caught my eye at the restaurant, since my boy is Thomas William!  But the jersey on the right did actually say Williams.
The Outlaws!
Stopping at the Hofbrauhaus for a nightcap.
First time eating Chipotle…and certainly not the last!  Yum!
Had to get a picture with Flat Gaby.  So sad to leave.
Amy and I are thrilled these two have each other with all the boys they have to deal with. ;)
Thank you again Jerry and Amy for the wonderful weekend!  Looking forward to next year.  Next up...Morton!!

Until next time,
Wendy
