July 10th, we were off on a great adventure! The Baltic countries have been on our list for some time now. We thought we had better try to accomplish this while we were here instead of coming from the States. We were thrilled the Schueremans family would be on the same cruise. Holidays are always more fun when they are spent with friends!

Wendy (not me...the other Wendy) has been to Stockholm several times. It was so nice to travel with someone I could just follow around. We spent Friday evening exploring the gorgeous city!
Saturday was a big sightseeing day in Stockholm. But first, a stop at H&M.

We took a boat cruise to the Drottningholm Palace. This is the private residence of the Swedish royal family.

Gamla Stan is Stockholm's Old Town.
This area of the city dates back to 1300. Only 3000 people live here, and our friends Anna and Patrik are lucky to call it home. We were able to see them on our return to Stockholm after the cruise.

Last stop...dinner at Bakfickan. They have mashed potatoes that are so good that Wendy said she would take a bath in them. LOL! But really, they are THAT good. And, the meatballs were to die for too. Now that I think about it, I think I ate meatballs at every meal in Sweden. :)
