June 25th was the last day of school for the kids. Thomas had his Sixth Grade Moving Up ceremony, and the Middle School does not attend on the last half day of school. I wish I had known this would be their last day at ISB...forever!! That just kills me. Be on the lookout for their ISB photo shoot that will happen before we leave (whether they like it or not.)
Thomas was all spiffed up for the ceremony.
Allison worked so hard this year. It was not uncommon for her to be up until 1:00 am doing homework. We are really proud of her.

Sarah and Thomas were chosen to give the speech for their class. The first part of T's speech was in French. He did such a great job. In fact, a friend who is French, said she would never know Thomas was American by listening to his accent. Now that is a nice compliment!

These boys...they have a very special friendship. They started a band this year. They spent time practicing at each others houses and performing for the parents, at the talent show, and small functions. They are so dedicated to their music and each other. I can't think of a better group of boys for Thomas to be friends with. But now, they are being scattered to Sweden, England, Japan, and the United States with just four of them remaining in Belgium. It's so sad to think they may never see each other again. So, I just won't think about it.
