I sure wish it had been longer. Jerry (Chris' twin) and Amy (Jerry's wife and our sister-in-law) had a lay over in Brussels today on their way to Switzerland and Italy for Jerry's work trip. We were so excited we had a few hours to spend together, but it was such a teaser. We sure wish we had longer, but we'll take what we can get!

| Here are the twins...so happy to be together again! |
 |
| Chris shared a Westvleteren. He's not going to share these with just anyone. |
 |
| "Oh Wow! That's good!" |
 |
| Introducing them to some Belgian goodies. |
 |
| Lunch at our favorite restaurant in Hoeilaart...Nerocafe! |
 |
| A little stroll around the lake. |
After a drive past the kids' school, it was already time to go. We can't wait for them to come again and enjoy so much more of Belgium!
Until next time,
Wendy
What a sweet treat to have them for a moment. Sounds like you savored the time and lived it to the fullest.
ReplyDeleteI am loving getting to share the journey on your blog. Miss you much.
So glad they got to come visit! But it's so weird seeing you in pics with people from "home." Made me cry to see you with people I know for some reason. Miss you so much!
ReplyDeleteThere we are!! Thank you so much for hosting us for those few hours. We had such a great time seeing you guys and seeing where you live! It was definitely not long enough. My mom emailed me to say she was so happy to see we made it safely thanks to your blog post! LOL! You're keeping everyone up to date. Thanks again for the wonderful Belgian hospitality :)

Wow, the international festival at the school looked like such a BLAST!!! I am certain that it was a most memorable time for the whole family. Then, a visit from the Vastine relatives . . .how can you top that?!? God bless you, Vastine family!
